In Manaus I bought a new drive-chain but since I could not get new tires I changed my plan from crossing the Amazon to Guiana in turning back to Venezuela. A few hundred Km north of Manuas the new chain snapped in three pieces and ripped all the teeth of the front sprocket. Unfortunately a few hundred Km north of Manaus is the middle of the Amazon jungle.
